All-
I just picked up an 854 project tractor that is currently only a rolling chassis with no motor. I am interested in knowing what the model number of the motor should be. Steve, I have a few correct 854 engines, but....... one I'm using, old smokey stopped running so it needs a rebuild, and two others I have are missing a carb or fuel pump and I've never had them running. I won't be able to even dig out all of the parts until after the beginning of the year, so if you can wait, I can help you out. I not, the 64's and 65's had the same K181 and at least thru 69 they were almost identical.

This is going to be a "winter" project so no need for the motor today. Let me know when you are ready. I plan on doing the restore on the machine first (like always) then find a good running motor. Thanks- ps are you going to the meet and greet? -------------------- Steve Bo- Danbury, CT.

Steve, I was planning on it but my wife got a chance to go to a seminar, so the kids are mine. She's never denied me a tractor so its a small price to pay. I'll see everyone next time. George
