Hello, I have a 1965 655 and I need a mower deck for it. Does anyone know what I should be looking for? There is a 1980ish B-82 for sale cheap locally but I don't know if the mower deck will work for me.

First off....

you'll want to look for one like this...

This one is a 36". They were also made in 32" versions... I would suggest, with the 6hp, that you try to find a 32".... BUT, you should be able to get by with a 36" IF you don't wait too long between mowings...

Where are you located? I have about 5 of this style deck.... Also, you can usually pick them up on e-bay CHEAP... Hope this helps, Jon

The B82 is a vertical shaft tractor with a different pulley and attachment setup. You need an older gear driven 32 or 36 inch rear discharge deck (ie a RM 326, RM RM 366, etc). That said anything can be made to work if you are willing to make massive modifications. But as for a bolt on replacement the B82 deck will not work.

I read your profile and noticed that you're from PA.... Maybe someone has a pile of them laying around... (TT?)
