This appears to be a real nice 502. Doesn't even look shortblocked! Check the dash, original small knob controls and all! It's even an early straight stick.
I saw that last night, D. Very nice "unmolested" original 502. I was very shocked to see the Lauson still under the hood! For those who are going about the "straight stick" reference, here's a quick explanation. When the HY-2 hydraulic lift kit became available in 1962, the shifters basically received one extra bend about 5" down from the knob. (to point the top section of the shifter straight up) This was necessary for clearance with the H-W hydraulic pump reservoir, which was mounted to the hoodstand just below the dash/gas tank.
