I've got the unidrive out of the ol' Ranger and know basically what it'll cost to freshen it up with new bearings and seals, but I'm just curious to see if anyone has a 5053 out there that is fully operational, not waterlogged and leaking? If the price is right (and its not 6000 miles away) I'd likely be willing to swing a deal of some sort. Also, I'm interested in the old style steel pan seats instead of the current one I've got.

It is a 1966 with the 5053....

I have not checked to see if there is any water in it, but it is pretty clean... The shifter goes in and out of all gears very smoothly... Seems to be in good working order. If you're interested, I'll do a little more research tomorrow and see if it has any water in it.

Thats looking like a winner to me! Might need the tin fuel tank as well if you're willing to part with it. I'm in Lucan, Ontario, Canada by the way.
