The one tractor has a decal from the WH Show I believe. It's on the 1045 in front of the 500 Special. That name sounds real familiar. I will probably go to this show with the enclosed trailer in tow...ROAD TRIP!!!!

I know of at least 5 guys going besides myself and you can bet there will be some DEEP pockets going to it also. Its going to draw collectors and dealers alike. Best get a room now if you plan on goin for both days cause its in the middle of nowhere.
I went to the auction outside Cleveland this summer with the 25 tractors and there was a guy from Conn. there, he took home 7 or 8. There was at least 170 bid cards given out at that one.
Ron sold that nice C195 on Ebay over the winter.
Marv I think did a post on his collection.

I just looked at the calendar and I think I work that weekend but will have to see if I can switch. Got a cot and sleepin' bag to go with the 14' enclosed trailer!!!!

Just talked to John tonight. He told me about this auction. Would you believe...Judy and I will be in Florida from mid Oct to first week on Nov. Darn. Already have all reservations etc., so can't change plans.
I visited Ron early this past Spring. He has the nicest, finest, cleanest collection of Wheel Horse tractors that will be found anywhere. Wonder why the auction.???
We were e-mailing back and forth and then all of a sudden he stopped????
I agree ...there will be BIG BUCKS spent at this one.
And I can't even begin to imagine how far fellas will travel to see this happen.

I'm starting to figure out the $s now, hopefully be able beat some of them deep pockets out somethin! really just going for parts and such. Some of the tractors do peak my intrest but not many.
As for Ron haveing the auction, I was talking to a friend that said he bought 2 or 3 from him just a little while ago. It does seem strange that hes selling off though.

The more publicity the sale receives the greater the turnout would be expected. greater turnout will likely drive prices up. i am surprised this ad surfaced so soon. I know if it was local to me I'd be secretly hoping nobody else found out about it...but in my state of nervous anticipation I'd probably announce it too...

You and me both! I bought a plow from Ron a couple years ago and met him when I picked it up. He is a SUPER nice guy, has a lot of 'Horses, and REALLY knows his stuff!

I'm curious too why he is selling so much stuff. I hope he's OK.

Ive known about it for a couple of weeks, but was tring to keep it under wraps. But the auction house has it listed on the net, so the cats out of the bag. I know when they hit the boards it goes pertty crazy after that.
