What's the skinny on 656? Look like it has a battery and pull start. Only 35 miles from me! horseplay.gif

A 656 is a 1966 "short frame" garden tractor with a 3 speed Uni-Drive transmission and a Tecumseh electric/recoil start HH-60 6hp engine. That's about as "skinny" as it gets. biggrin.gif

That's pretty skinny. Is it worth looking into? Never worked on a Tecumseh engine. What would you guys say a good price for it would be? Travel is less than 30 min drive so that's no factor

Oh and are parts somewhat available?

The HH series engine is a cast iron block, which is far better than the aluminum version of the 6hp engine. The carburetors are finicky, but can be conquered. Otherwise, they aren't much different than the rest.
As a guess (and the way prices have been higher than normal lately) I'd say $150 to $250 would be in the "ballpark".
