Well I was cleaning out the garage today, Trying to find that
magic combination that would allow......dare I say? Room for
one more tractor! (or at least a place to work.....lol)
I drove the GT-14 out and parked it behind one of my trailers
and lowered the bucket on the trailer.
I did my thing and was pretty pleased with finding a little more
space. I went to start the GT and it almost kicked over....not
quite though. Then I tried a few more times.....nothing....
I took the spark plug off and it looked good. It looked dry
like there was no gas getting in there. I put a little starting fluid
in the hole and tried again.....nada.... Then I noticed that oh
so familiar smell of ozone..... Something electrical must have
given up the ghost. The starter cranks.....but won't start.
So....dark is falling and we are suppose to have a big snow
tomarow and friday. I really want this thing in the garage..
So I tried to open the valve under the seat for easy rolling...
Stuck tight. I tried tapping on it several times.......nada...
I tried to loosen the nut under it......double nada.....
So the GT-14 with loader is stuck in place... Just like throwing
out a big boat anchor...
Plan C was to think of something to tow it up to the garage with.
So plan C was the Super C! I got out my tow chains of various
lengths and a heavy duty car ratchet strap. I hooked it all up.
And keep in mind there is 2 inches of snow still left on the ground.
I let the C warm up a while and pushed the lever forward.. we
were moving! Then the tire began to slip. Did I mention that I have
to pull it uphill too???

Winter weather, cold, darkness coming
on, dead vehicle.....and uphill to top it off! Sounds familiar....
I repositioned the C-195 and lengthened the strap so I was on top of
the hill. The C pulled it up that incline! I had to get off several times
to steer the GT. I got it out in front of the garage doors. Rear wheels
locked up all the way on the GT. The super C never slipped again.
Then with a garage full of wheel horses and things.....I still needed
to reverse direction and pull it inside.....(still uphill......snifff). Well
there was only so much room left to have the C in front pulling it in.
So I got it up as far as I could.. Then something occured to me.
I will use the starter to get it in!

I pushed in the hydraulic lever.
pushed the motion lever into the forward position. I cranked the
starter and it drove into the garage under starter power! Though
not recommended....it worked. Now I just have to wait until
tomarow and swap out parts and see what works and what doesn't.
No I don't have a meter anymore.....it burned up on a previous
project.....sheeeesh.....
