would the gt-14 front end fit on a C series tractor and is if it does is it any stronger than the C series front end spindal wise?
Dan,
The Gt14 front end will not fit a C. A C uses a 3/4" pivot pin whereas a GT uses a 1" pin, and it is another 1" wider or ther abouts.
The GT's axels are hardened 1" with tapered roller bearings, the C's are 3/4" with caged bearings.
Yes it can , you need to shave the axle to get it to fit in where the C axle was, bush the hole to accept the C axle pin and make a set of tierods for it. Yup iy's a lot stronger

ok thanks for the advice i was just wondering because if it was an easy fit i would put it on for more strength with the loader
Other than a little time no problem
Also when you do this it will raise the front, to level it we used the hubs, rims and tires from the GT14 , You could go with 24 or 26 inch tires also to help level it
This was done to a 520 for use in the garden for hilling clearance

I'ld just use a 520 steeraxle off of fleabay, There's a place called Joe's outdoor power that it seems is constantly parting out 520s I got a steer axle and spindles for about 150$. Good luck
I lost my pictures of it in the big computor crash of 07
Next time I get to Alan's I'll take the camera with me.
